The eager chatter of the girls was charming though. Quill tended to be a bit uncomfortable around other children usually, for reasons he tended not to look at too closely. But these ones seemed... well, something about them forestalled that. Maybe just the inordinate cheer that reminded him enough of someone else, enough to make him more willing to chat.
